Aston Martin 003
Discussion
I am very happy to be one of the 500 globally allocated a build slot for the AM-RB 003.
Is anyone else on here getting one?

I could get one
A model of one maybe
It could sit on my parcel shelf in my Honda Civic.
Hope it all works out for you and it's something you enjoy driving. I have to live vicariously through others when it comes to high performance / financially exclusive vehicles, and I'm glad that there are people out there buying these things.
p.s. do be all the awesome and track day it / do a weekly shop at tesco in it / take the kid to school in it (how many kids would love that turning up at school)

Approx price excl vat: 875 gbp
500 coupes (so very likely a roadster coming)
7 speed f1 transmission
Dry weight less than 1350kg
Hybrid with 1000bhp
4 wheel drive
Dont like the look so did not order.

Definitely, and I've done all that (except Tesco/supermarket) in my 720S. Did the supermarket shop in my old Ferrari a few times, but it was annoying that even when I would park at the far end of the car park where it was empty, I'd invariably find someone wanted to park next to it... So I stopped using any nice car in a supermarket car park.

Maybe they mistook your Ferrari for a shopping trolley?Did the supermarket shop in my old Ferrari a few times, but it was annoying that even when I would park at the far end of the car park where it was empty, I'd invariably find someone wanted to park next to it... Going to sound an awful killjoy, but the AM role out sounds optimistic. It’s obvious that the share price has tanked since the ipo and many in the city see it as inevitable that they will need to go to shareholders for more cash to meet the needed development costs of their product. i.e. will this model ever make it to market (obviously hope it does and is a huge success).

if anyone is interested, the AM-RB 003 is actually in the Aston Martin Works store in Mayfair today. I can safely say the car looks absolutely stunning in the flesh, and small in real life! what a machine!
Yes, I had another good look around it today as it was a bit more hectic on the stand in Geneva. And with Peter Freedman on hand to explain the car in more detail. What they have is basically a mock-up rather than a rolling chassis at this stage but there is work going on in all areas including the engine and interior. It is a very special project, with some seriously talented people working on it, and a stunning car in the flesh.
A long way to go before cars are delivered of course though. That’s making me for one pause for reflection.
I had a private viewing of the AM-RB 003 a few days ago. Short version: it's EPIC.
I had a lot of detailed lengthy discussion regarding the car, but obviously cannot share anything not already in the public domain. The car will however be significantly better than I expected, and my jaw hit the floor when I learned one particular thing about its aero. Adrian Newey and RBAT are geniuses!
Handheld iPhone, no stabliser so apologies for the shaky video.

Interior:

These shots overexposed to better show the underbody aero:
Side aero, also showing negative space and hidden side view camera:
The headlights are a work of art, and ultra-light (all 4 light units on the 003 weight less than 1/3 of the weight of one headlamp unit on a normal Aston):
The car is of course all carbon - structure and body panels. But so is the interior, all around, including seats, floor, vents...everything. Much of it is unusually shaped and 3D printed.
It is a work of art.
I wasn't sure how I would feel about the wheel shape, and I spent a good amount of time turning it as in normal tight manoeuvering, and it was absolutely comoftable and easy to use. The shape felt much better than a round wheel at the staright ahead, and in small turns.

I forgot to mention that the seating position is truly excellent, and feels close to a single seater. Proper "sense of occasion" stuff. Feet above your hips, but feels comfortable and correct. Vision out is great, except to see kerbs (as you are sitting so low, on the floor itself).
A pillars are slim and perfectly placed to not obstruct vision anyway.
