I wouldn't let anyone other than Paintshield near my cars for PPF. I did once and it took me a year to sort the car out so it was up to the same standards. I've paid between £3500 and £4700 for full car cover with them. Never had just a front done so can't directly answer your question, sorry.
Another vote for Paintshield at Peterborough from me, as a first time PPF-er I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the money but 2000 miles later the car is still perfect. I paid around £2200 from memory for a full front on a McLaren 570s.
I’ve looked long & hard & have to say it’s a perfect job, very pleased indeed.

I used Topaz London- a little expensive at just over £2500 i for the full front end and side skirts, the job is absolutely seamless you wouldn't know that it has had it done, that included transport to and front the dealer (Bristol to London)Edited by Deano84 on Sunday 26th August 23:43
Hi Karl,
I'm in this industry albeit based in Shropshire so happy to give you some professional non-biased advice assuming I'm a little to far away from you.
Firstly I would suggest going with an Xpel accredited company, we're suntek and Xpel accredited but Xpel installers go through a more extensive training course than any other film manufacturer, plus the latest Xpel film is the better product on the market with the adhesive being very strong and the clarity being great, it's our go to product now even though I could use any film I choose.
Check experience and the cars that the company have done in the past, most of us seem to use instagram for this atm.
Don't be afraid of using a smaller company as long as the above stands up, infact I would advise it if you can find a good one. Everything comes down to who is actually installing the film to your vehicle, if you can find a nice little place where the owner is installing the film, you won't get a better install compared to someone who is simply paid by the hour working in a larger outfit, sad but often true.
Price wise, anywhere between £1500 and £1900 would be my advise.
My last point would be someone who will install while your car is on a ramp. This may sound tiny but the difference is huge as an install carried out at eye level rather than someone kneeling/lay on a wet floor is honestly night and day. Plus if the company have invested in a ramp you know there serious about what they do :-)
Hope this helps, if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Had my RS4 done by cowboys about 18 months ago, paid circa £500 for the front end (half the bonnet when I wanted the full bonnet done...) fairly visible.
Paid £2800 for the vantage, this was full front end PPF and ceramic coating to the whole car... proper job, can't see the PPF at all and the finish is immaculate all around.

reat post and sound advice. There are a lot of cowboys in this space. Full respect to Duncan for offering his qualified advice
He fails to mention how long these training courses are, none of them are nearly long enough imho (16th year in this business). One film supplier offers two days (including how to cut on the car )
Another is five days, anyone who believes five days of training (at best ) is sufficient to gain the skills to do this to a high standard is dreaming. The accreditation is meaningless in that regard, none of the film manufacturers underwrite their installers work. Go and physically look at their work before making decisions as to who to use.

Would it cost as much to repaint the front end ?Edited by Deano84 on Sunday 26th August 23:43
I have had quotes of £3000 to £8000 for a full repaint - depending on how much stripping apart I do.

That’s a good question, probably not much more- possibly even less, that said the issue for me was the fact it has 4 layer pearl paint, if it was resprayed and had the slightest mismatch of paint colour/sign of paintwork.... I dread to think of the effect the the cars residual value.I have had quotes of £3000 to £8000 for a full repaint - depending on how much stripping apart I do.
