Is it just me, or am I missing something here. Is it meant to be arty or something? To me, it just looks like the cars have conked out in a bloody great puddle!

It's a really decent marketing ploy IMO. The photos are shared on forums and social media and it creates a talking point.

Probably costs a few quid to install in the giant pond (definitely not a lake as they call it), but I think it will probably pay off in terms of the exposure they get.

They need to sort out the Tom Hartley sign at the back though. It's small and it looks a bit wonky.

They can put it in the hearse when Tom popps his clogs. Will save a few ££ at the florists hehe

Edit: hadn't seen the comment above when I posted this!

The thing I always wonder is, where's the driver? Is he hunkering down in the seat, or did he put his wellies on when he got out and walked away biggrin

Apropos of nothing, the wheels on that Aventador look awful.

I think it raises and lowers a few inches, like the drawbridge on the Crystal Maze.

The most famous car stage in the world? tongue out I quite like it, but the sign in the back needs sorting as others have said. It's wonky and when they take photos at night, which they regularly do, it reflects horrendously making the photo look awful!

I'm always amazed that they do it with 918 and LaFerraris given the how close the high voltage cables are to the floor

Makes them stand out from the crowd. Competition is fierce these days in everything. Just need to give people a reason to give you their attention by whatever means necessary. Sometimes parking a car in a puddle is what you need to do!

Copied the idea from the McLaren lake in Woking. The idea is about making the car appear to be floating and the reflection is supposed to re inforce the shape and style. Only works when there is no wind and with a very good photographer and lighting.

If that were an issue, then there would be something seriously amiss in the engineering departments in Maranello and Zuffenhausen.......

Yes, mirroring by water is intended to evoke pleasant memories of lazy Summer days spent picnicking beside picturesque lakes or ponds. Good emotions = more likely to be "moved" to buy something. But, in reality, the photo looks like the car is parked in a Tesco carpark puddle with a funeral wreath lobbed carelessly on the grass.

Because god forbid anyone drives one in the rain?

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed...

Who perhaps copied the idea from Aston Martin in Gaydon?
