Why does Tom Hartley photograph his cars in a puddle?
Discussion
It's a really decent marketing ploy IMO. The photos are shared on forums and social media and it creates a talking point.
Probably costs a few quid to install in the giant pond (definitely not a lake as they call it), but I think it will probably pay off in terms of the exposure they get.
They need to sort out the Tom Hartley sign at the back though. It's small and it looks a bit wonky.

Copied the idea from the McLaren lake in Woking. The idea is about making the car appear to be floating and the reflection is supposed to re inforce the shape and style. Only works when there is no wind and with a very good photographer and lighting.
Yes, mirroring by water is intended to evoke pleasant memories of lazy Summer days spent picnicking beside picturesque lakes or ponds. Good emotions = more likely to be "moved" to buy something. But, in reality, the photo looks like the car is parked in a Tesco carpark puddle with a funeral wreath lobbed carelessly on the grass.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
