Ferrari servicing in North East England....
Discussion
Guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows how one would go about getting your Ferrari serviced if you live in my neck of the woods (Newcastle upon Tyne). Is it a case of sending your car off on a transporter to Leeds (JCT 600) or is there somewhere a bit closer to this fine town who are up to tinkering with these cars?
There's no shortage of Ferraris up here. I wonder where the owners send them for that awful cambelt service?
Thanks.

Ah John! Tempted to cancel the 997 and get a 360??
GO ON MY SON!
Andy, mate, I'm just thinking and so on, you know I'm always doing that.
It's just that my mate has his eye on a black 348. I think he's taking a risk because there don't seem to be any specialists around the North East. I have e-mailed a garage called Snippersgate in Co. Durham. They have no less than 3 F355 Spiders in stock. But they are being coy about servicing......ie who does it.
Andrew,
It tkes longer to get to Edinburgh from Newcastle than it does to get to Leeds. I have heard that JCT Leeds will collect you f-car from Newcastle and take it away on a truck for its service. I think it costs 80 quid. The good thing about Newcastle is that we have a Posche Centre here. I can get there in 5 minutes. Very handy if anything minor develops with my porker.
A lot of the main dealers (and even independents) will travel a fair way to pick the car up for servicing. I had one come from the midlands to South London twice at no extra cost (other than the extra main dealers charge over independents, which isn't always *that* great).
Doesn't help when niggles come along though.
I'd be surprised if there wasn't an independent near to you though, and that'd be the best place for a 348. If there isn't, there's probably a hole in the market there

Ferrari opens two new Official Ferrari Service Centres and Ferrari Approved showrooms:
Newcastle and Kent
London, Monday 1 June 2020 – Ferrari North Europe is delighted to announce the opening of two new official Ferrari Service Centres in June: one site in Newcastle which is open now, and another location in Kent which opens later this month. These two new official Ferrari Service Centre locations complement the brand’s 12 existing official Sales and Aftersales dealerships across the UK, and also mean that Ferrari now has three sites dedicated to provide a range of Ferrari Aftersales services for Ferrari cars of all ages.
The new facility in Newcastle represents a further £1m investment from long-standing official Ferrari dealer partner, JCT600, in addition to the significant investment it is making in a completely new Ferrari dealership in Leeds which is scheduled to open at the end of the year. The JCT600 Newcastle Service Centre has 4 service bays and a 6-car showroom for the brand’s used cars, including a selection from the Ferrari Approved programme for cars up to 15 years old.
Tom Armstrong, Brand Director for JCT600’s specialist brands, said: “Having partnered with Ferrari for over 40 years, this investment marks our continued commitment to strengthening our relationship with one of the most coveted car marques in the world as well as expanding our offering to customers in the North East of England. Our facilities in Newcastle will give Ferrari customers the convenience of carrying out servicing and repairs close to home, as well as complementing our JCT600 Ferrari showroom in Leeds by displaying a selection of pre-owned cars from Ferrari’s extensive back catalogue.”
The JCT600 Newcastle facility is the first of two new official Ferrari Service Centres opening this month, with a second facility managed by another existing Ferrari dealer partner opening in Kent in the middle of June. Further details and images will be available later this month.
Francesco Balli, Regional Manager, Ferrari North Europe, commented: “We are thrilled that the demand for pre-owned Ferrari cars and the services provided by our official dealer partners remains strong even in these unprecedented times. It is this passion from our loyal clients that has enabled us to expand our UK dealer network with two of our most long-standing dealer partners who have invested in dedicated new official Ferrari Service Centres. We look forward to welcoming both our existing and new clients to both of these new Ferrari centres who offer a range of Aftersales services to cater for owners of all Ferrari cars of any age.”

If you are going to travel as far as Leeds and its a 355 then consider R&D Automotive in Eccles just outside of Manchester.
