Ferrari service book
Discussion
2 question for the wise old heads out there.
(1) Duplicate service book
If you have an F-car and you have lost the service book, you're going to have to get a duplicate.
In this case, we have all the invoices to support the entire service history.
What's the usual practice here? Do you write to Ferrari and ask them to stamp it up?
Is this going to really affect the car's provenance? I should think that if you have the invoices, and the word "duplicate" really shouldn't be an issue.
(2) Service by mileage or on an annual basis
If a car is doing minimal (and I mean less than 500 miles a year), is there really a need to service it every year?
I can see the merit of servicing at the 3 year interval regardless of mileage for a cambelt sensitive Ferrari, but otherwise?
This will determine what we do when the car is put into storage!
Thanks!

The ones on Ebay are probably not original and dealers may or may not still be able to supply originals - partly it depends on how critical you think it is to have an original book (compared with keeping invoices for example)
As an aside a certain specialist who was closed down was found to have a cupboard full of blank service books - draw your own conclusions

Thanks - a little more research suggests Ferrari themselves started to produce & offer these about ten years ago in yellow red or silver & then made them harder to find in the ordering system by calling them 'Maintenance Certification' and/or 'Technical Documentation' p/n 95990615 / 95590616 / 99590617
