People park like that and wonder why they get key'd....
What a ridiculous thing to say. Are you implying that they deserve to have their lovely car keyed?I wouldn't park mine like that I have to say.
No, I know the owner wants to protect his car and of course he doesn't deserve getting keyed, but you have to look at it from the other side - a bloke with an expensive car who inconsiderately takes up 2 places...
What I'm saying is that when you do certain things, it tempts the worst out of some people.

Like keying expensive cars. Another way of looking at it is a bloke with an expensive car catches vandal and decides to demonstrate the consequences of their actions. What I'm saying is that when you do certain things, it tempts the worst out of some people.
Yay, it's the same argument we have every time we see a pic of a badly parked supercar/decent car.
If you don't want to risk your supercar being damaged, either accidentally or deliberately by some piece of scum, either keep it in your cellar and don't take it out anywhere or don't buy one.

hopefully people being caught on dashcams vandalising cars(and then having to pay £20k for a respray by selling their house/attachment to earnings) will stop this happening. So many jealous people about. I guess it's the huge inequality out there. If you don't want to risk your supercar being damaged, either accidentally or deliberately by some piece of scum, either keep it in your cellar and don't take it out anywhere or don't buy one.

Perhaps the car park is pretty empty and the owner has just taken the opportunity to preserve his pride and joy.
I'm not defending parking like that in a busy car park mind.
I will only do it at off peak times in the furthest part of the car park out of the way. I don't think that is being inconsiderate.I'm not defending parking like that in a busy car park mind.
The number of times I have returned to my daily driver/company car and someone has stuck a wacky great door ding in it by being totally inconsiderate really annoys me.
I've even had people do it when I'm sat in the car and they don't give a monkeys or even apologise.
Try asking for their insurance details for the repair and you end up in a fight if you are not careful.
No one should key a car because its in 2 parking spaces, that's taking the law into their own hands and is unlawful itself. By all means report it to the authorities if you feel its inappropriate to take up 2 spaces when there are plenty free elsewhere

Obviously I'm fully aware that you never resort to exaggeration or hyperbole. I just thought that I should point out that this sentence is a little vague. I assume that we're talking tens of occasions, yes? Maybe twenty or thirty?Or is it none?
Perhaps I'm just very lucky, but in thirty years of car ownership, and in twenty years of driving notably wide sports cars (mainly Lotii, Ferraris and Lambos) as daily drivers parking in car parks almost daily, I've never been dinged.
My car..... yesterday..... staff car park..... Heathrow...... (Winter rubber is very grippy and iPads are ste....)

Always try to squeeze my car into one spot (somewhere at the furthest reaches of the car park) - it is a car, so if it gets a door ding, then so be it - do try to park next to a column or similar though as otherwise I might not be able to open my door
You never know this little beauty could be lurking underneath that cover
