it's a really good idea to connect the diagnostics regularly, as the coolant temperature sensor has gone bad, but I don't know whether it was a gradual fail, or a clean break

If it has been a gradual fail, it might explain why my mpg has been so bad this year

Only taken the passenger seat out, I think, to fit the removable harness fittings, access is easier on the driver's side

I've only just discovered what the constant pitch hum that comes from the top of the engine bay is likely caused by

It had been puzzling me for years, I can only hear it when in the cabin, and then only occasionally

What is the only thing that remains constant frequency, irrespective of engine speed, or road speed?

If it had been from the back of the car, then perhaps the fuel pump

But since it's the engine bay I think it's the injectors

The wiring for the second fan is much lighter gauge than the primary fan, even though the TVR loom itself uses the heavier gauge for both - that must be the exception that proves the rule
