toyo's and suspension
Discussion
Just fitted toyo's to my cerbie, on 18" spiders, anyone done the same, they look pretty tight, cars having joospeed shocks and springs fitted next week, which will lower it even more, anyone done this?, concerned that the wheels won't fit under the arches!, unless there is so much camber i scrub my tyres out in 500miles!!.....any ideas?
I have 18 inch Tuscan wheels (Are these spiders?) with s02's fitted. They were on the car when I bought it and they look great.
I had the kids in the car this weekend and the tyres caught the wheel arch on dips in the road or when cornering. Is this a common problem?
I assume the offset of these wheels is different from the 17 inch wheels.
I notice on previous comments that some of you have had the wheel arches ground for clearance, is this the best fix, or can the wheels be machined at the hub to take them in some?

I heard it was 2 o front and 3 o at the back, and some decent toe in to stop srubbing them out after limited miles, my arches have been ground before so i guess more of the same...and on the front, seems only the o/s thats effected, shoddy finishing the n/s is fine, how low do you run it on the road?, was going to lower it a cpl of inches and see what happens
you can quite safely lower your cerbie, I'd recommend going more on the rear to even the look of the car from the side .. the rear is very high as std which contributes to the dramatic oversteer balance the cerbie is famous for. lower the front an inch or so and the rear a couple of inches - you can always raise it again if you need, but don't know why anyone would want to 'cos they looks the dog's danglies skimming the floor so go low until you start leaving marks on the road surface ...!!
Joolz's old project car (C4 TVR) did look very agressive with it's arse dragging along the floor...
