Weird Electrical Fault
Discussion
Here’s one for you!
This morning, my indicators, aircon, and rear window heater on my Cerbie all simultaneously packed up, but everything else as far as I could tell, all worked okay.
When I arrived at my destination, (after annoying various people who presumably thought I couldn’t be bothered to indicate) I switched off the engine, pressed the starter button to put the electrics back on and everything was miraculously back to normal. I switched off and started the car again and everything was still okay.
This happened once before about two months ago and was fixed by doing exactly as above. Of course, I’m expecting it to happen all the time now (as paranoia takes hold) – anyone any idea what might be causing this, in case it does recur?

Mine does/did a similar thing. I lost indicators and washer/wiper functionality. It was always an all or nothing situation that appeared to occur after parking or lock-to-lock steering. I had a fiddle with the ribbon cables under the steering column that feeds the steering wheel buttons etc, pulling them out and pushing them back in which made things worse then better.
I am glad to say that I have not had the problem since.
