Smoke from bonnet

Had the car recovered today.

Grey smoke (rather than steam) from bonnet even though temperature gauge was only about 50-60. Coolant level had dropped to a fairly low level. Topped up with antifreeze and water but made no difference. Appeared to be coming from an area possibly below coolant tank.

Anyone with similar experiences and how much dosh did it cost?

Have had the same problem. It's very hard to locate.
It's a plastic T pipe under the coolant reservoir.
