The fog light switch on the dash seems to stay on all the time. A new one is £93 + VAT. Is this switch supposed to 'pop out' when the light is off? as per the hazard switch or does the button send an electronic signal to switch the fog light on or off. Anyone else had this problem? Can it be fixed without buying a new one?
Any comments please........

93 for a new one!? Yes, I seem to remember it pops in and out. Maybe the spring has broken if you can find out how to dismantle it?

The swith is a TVR production consisting of (1) an aluminium "bucket", (2) a machined plastic fill (to diffuse the light from the LEDs), (3) a switch that looks like it came from an electronic kit, (4) a PCB for the LEDs, (5) and a machined aluminium disc (the button face with the icon stamped on it). There is also a "U" bracket for holding the switch assembly in the dash.

The parts are assembled and held together with 2 small screws then the button face is glued on to the stem of the switch.

Two different versions of the switch are made, momentary and on/off.

The 'spring' is an integral part of the switch unit (3).

If the face is not popping out you might try some WD40 round the button face (5) as this can stick in the plastic diffuser (2) if not then dismatling is not hard.

Thanks for the info. I dismantled the switch to find that a 'slither' of aluminium had lodged between the plastic insert and the moving buttton(disc). This was preventing the button from depressing sufficiently to switch off and pop back out. The aluminium sliver seemed to be left from the drilled holes in the main body
Cheers!
