Folks,

I'd like some advice on the Cerbera.......

Just how unreliable is the beast?

Is there a significant difference between the 4.2s and the 4.5s, in terms of performance off the track?

I'm considering buying one at around an 'R' plate, as long as it's got a full TVR Service history, should I be worried about buying privately?

Any comments would be much appreciated

Cheers

I have got the same problem i am looking for a cerbie 4.2 or 4.5.

i have been told that the 4.2 is more drivable on a dayt to day basis but i have only driven a 4.2 so i cant comment.

I have been looking at cerbies around teh 20k mark and there aint that many 4.5s at that price range.

I will be buying privately and paying for an additional warrenty. to cover the unfortunate expenses. I have also found cheaper servicing costs half that of the TVR dealerships but i dont know if i should trust them??

Look at old threads - these topics are wearing thin.

Also, looks at members cars. A number of them have detailed maintenance cost.

Look at mine if you want to see the costs.....

Don't look at my Healy by accident - that's only 1.43p per decade to run
