Not being funny but concentrate all your efforts and money on getting the heart of the car correct before worrying yourself about what the speedo is calibrated to!
If the engine is knacked then you ain't gonna be doin' a tenth of whatever it says
One thing at a time – there's no rush is there?

Thats all down to opinions though - without actually taking the engine apart you dont know what is wrong. You are hoping that it is nothing. Hopefully it will be fixed with redex but what if it isnt.
If you are running a cerbera on a shoe string budget you need to save you pennies for some likely big bills round the corner rather than funky add ons. It will cost a small fortune to run - I guarantee it.

Main reason I want to upgrade is that:
1)Sometimes when accelerating the revs rise, but then on the counter drop away, then back up again, even though the engine revs are just rising!
2)The temp gauge is a bit temperamental, it stays at nothing, put when engines about 80 degrees it shots straight to 80 and then carries on working ok!

yeh, but what has that got to do with fitting a 210mph speedo or am I missing something?????
i confess to being an self proclaimed idiotic driver, but at 160mph in my cerb with the bonnet lifting and wipers about 4" off the screen I said enough is enough! Therefore be very suprised if you really need an 210mph speedo anyhow...
Bennno
Nice to have benno back isn't it. In full flow slagging cerbs and telling everyone how wonderfull his Porsche is
I had an indicted 180 on my cerb last year, yeah the wipers were wobbling a bit. If you were scared by your wipers moving benno, you should get yourself a nice sensible car that doesn't go fast...... oh sorry you've already got one...A PORSCHE!!!
How's the crunching gearbox benno????........
