Future of Cerbera
Discussion
I wonder if you can help me make up my mind?
I plan to renew my car this year. I've always wanted a Cerbera Speed Six (currently own a Chimaera 4.0) but wonder how long Blackpool will go on producing them.
I prefer the Cerbera's styling to the Tuscan and Tamora, but will I be buying into TVR's past rather than its future?
I know all TVRs are classics in their way and that fashion shouldn't enter into it ... but ... does anyone have any inside info on TVR's plans for their 2+2 masterpiece?

If ever the Tuscan R makes it as a 2+2, is it reasonable to expect the Cerbera to be scrapped?
It woud be quite interesting to see if TVR keep on going with two "4" seaters...
I wouldn't have thought so! How many people will buy a 200mph+ GT Car in "Family Car" spec? Christof, would you?!?! If TVR offered me an R in 2+2 spec, would be my very rapid response!!
You also have to think of the price difference, £50K or so, would buy you a pretty good spec Cerb, if not top (anyone care to comment on the price?) £70K is the base price for an R last time I checked! Which one would you go for???
From my (uneducated) point of view, the Cerb will always have a place in the TVR range! It's one of the, if not the, fastest production car in the world!!
Will be at the factory on March 26th to get some more information about the Tuscan R.
If I order one I will go for a 2 seater full race version...
What about a mighty new Coupe in 3 or 4 years time with a 3 engine option:
1. Speed Six
2. Speed Eight RR
3. the new Speed 10
I'll go for the Speed 10
Christof*would like to buy a secondhand Speed12*

Interesting - how far will the the TVR brand go ?
Most of use will need a 4 door saloon at some point. How about a TVR (Rover) 75 ?

Just for the record....200+ in a Cerbera....in your dreams!!!180+ Maybe but you would need at least 500RWHP to push one in excess of 200MPH.Please stop over hyping the speeds of these things

200mph+ in a Tuscan R not a cerb!
And the kind of Clientel(sp?) the R would attract will be people that have seen them blasting round the likes of Silverstone/brands/spa/knockhill/croft and X number of hundred miles an hour, so they will buy it because it goes so damn fast, why do you think people bought the Mac F1, it's not the best looking car in the world but it does 240mph!!!
The R will sell, there is no question, it would sell on looks alone, but the fact that it will probably have a V10 engine that will give 500odd bhp so pushing it through 200mph, will mean it will sell a few more, but I doubt many will be sold in 2+2 'family' spec!!
As I said, the Cerb will be around for a while IMO, the R will never outsell it!!!
