Just failed my MOT on emissions only! Got a 98 4.2 cerbera. Doesn't look like it failed by much well at least don't think so, its boffin speak percentage parts per million etc etc. I heard that one problem is if the CAT's aren't up to operating temperature they don't operate to full potential. I was advised to take the car for a blast before going for the test and hope the car doesn't cool down before they run the test. Barring the CAT's needing replacement (help!)what are the likley adjustments needed? (expensive?)Anyway body else had the same problem or offer any advise?

Mine only just squeezed through the MOT. The first test failed as the tester let his foot slip off the accelerator.

A good long hard blast to warm everything up and clear it out, and also keep the revs up when the test is being done.

Going for a re-test on wednesday morning-planning to blast it before hand!

mine fails every time, dealer makes some adjustments and then it's ok, once it's thru, take the cat's out.

Even bigger smiles.
