Factory recall
Discussion
Just received a letter from Blackpool this morning reossible safety related corrosion problem. Car needs to go back to dealer.
Front suspension upright can suffer from excessive build up of corrosion adjacent to the wheel bearing bore that can cause the suspension to crack and affect steering control.
Has anyone else had this ?

Gazzab - bought my 4.5 from new. Had normal cerbie alloys. There was a recall last year when they were changed to my 1st set of anthracites (I don't know which version but they had a light yellow disc in the middle)
Alistair - thanks for the tip, will ask my garage to double check the steering when they've done the job.

Domb and Phythian - the plot thickens: I too have just received a recall letter from the factory (front suspension uprights) enclosing a copy of a similar letter supposedly sent to me at the end of last year (and which I never received). This is too much of a coincidence. Either there was a batch of letters accidently not sent out, or there is some arse-covering going on here!
