Yippee.... My cerbera has been fixed - it was the starter motor after all and as well as that Warranty Holdings picked up the tab!! Big thanks to Paul at Mole valley who did the business for me!!

I am a happy bunny and cannot wait to get it back tomorrow....

Should be picking mine up from the same garage tomorrow too ! Apparently, lack of throttle response due to ECU chip and a 'potentiometer'(?).

How much did you pay for the warranty & do you recommend it? I have had a great service from Paul too.

Yellow Cerbie,

Are you going in the afternoon? If so will try and meet you there. The warranty came with the vehicle so I`m afraid I don`t know how much it cost - I`ve only used it once and its worked!!

By the way what on earth is a "potentiometer"???

All the best

Monday morning I'll be there bright and early. After having workled all night on the weekly magazine I do ... Sunday nights are live weekend coverage of the weekend's action. Won't broadcast the publication tho!

Did you see my green Chim in the flesh or did they have it under wraps for me!? Believe it or not they were probably respraying the one inch mark on the offside front wing – they said they'd do it before I even asked.

Glad to hear yours wasn't too serious and that WH picked up the tab! Must be the lowest mileage starter motor to go ever tho'

Paul told me it should be ready for collection today as they were waiting for a part from the factory. Looks like mid to late pm today as I haven't yet heard. May c u there.

I thought he said "potentiometer" but I am no technical expert....it was a throttle response something...

Potentiometer is an electromechanic component that changes the electrical resistence in real time. The example, familiar to all is volume knob of the home HI FI amplifier. In automotive industry you can use it like input from various pedals (gas pedal).
