What is the price for a typical standard Cerbera service (every 6000 miles I guess?), excluding work and parts unexpected?

yep £6-£900 plus valve clearances at £3-500 on top every other service.

plus the odd set of pads, disks, rear diff, new engine etc as required.

Julian,

Just had a look at your website. Your prices seem too good to be true.

Personally, I would love to upgrade my M plate Chim to an early 4.2 Cerb, but to be honest I'm sh*t scared of the running costs that I see banded about (& main dealer servicing prices). The fact I have just become a dad is also putting pressure on me to sell, but the missus does like the look of a Cerbera……

What I would like to know is, how many of these cars do you actually see, in percentage terms that can actually get through a service without the need for expensive work (i.e. engine / transmission etc)??

If they are looked after, i.e. not thrashed when cold, motorway commutes (30 miles a day) can they be reliable?

What about DIY stuff - Is there much that can be done without the need for specialists??

Sorry, if I’m asking too much – just trying to do my homework……………….

Thanks,

Nick.

vroom - use mine as main transport (approx 20k miles pa) and so far had no probs (4.5 cerby since August 2001). Had a Griff 500 before that for the same and also no major probs.

My opinion is that if you use them and respect them they are a reliable regular type of transport (and of course you have 400 bhp on tap!!!)

I luv it!!

Maybe true, but you can't put a price on your car having SOUL, sadly missing in some other "performance" cars

Nope. Let your customers do it for you! Joolz - one of the few people that really knows what he's doing, doesn't make up excuses, honest, and doesn't charge enough! Err, better stop there
