Have just done mt first decent run in my newly acquired Cerbie 4.5 this w/e. As I am such a short @rse I have to pull the seat right up to its forward stop to drive comfortably but can only depress the accelerator to say 60% of its travel. I have to move about three inches forward in the seat to floor it and really feel that this is taking a bit too much of a risk at high speed.

Does anyone know how to adjust the accelerator as the other two are fine.

PS No jokes about me being the first pigmi cerbera owner!!!!

Don't think you can adjust the Loud pedal unless you have aftermarket pedals like the Leven ones. Would love to be corrected though.

I'd also be interested in knowing if you can make adjustments to the height of the standard pedals as I have the opposite problem. I'm 6'5" and long in the leg so could really do with having the pedals another 1" further away!

You should be able to adjust the Brake and Clutch on standard pedals but not the accelerator.

Its just a case of moving the locking nuts up the pedal bolts and rotating the whole pedal.

Andrew, I can't push the pedals down far enough to get to 60 so hence the E mail. Any advice?

It's OK for you gangly people.

PS I understand the looks the car gets now it's absolutely amazing and probably the best sorted TVR that I have ever had the pleasure to own/drive. I started it in a garage forecourt last Sat with a kid on a bike looking at the exhaust. He fell over as the engine fired. His mates are probably still ribbing him now.

yes i remember now the accelerator cant be adjusted unless you buy the leven pedals due to the assembly ....i had a similar experiece when i first got the car 5 9 by the way but must have short legs as i had to have the seat so far forward i couldnt get out without sending the seat back a few notches, after pedals were fitted it was like driving a different car...

This is not YellowCerbie, but YellowCerbie's wife.

I am a short @rse too and currently have the pedals raised to their maximum height. Have been told by the dealer that the Leven pedals can be slippery when coming into the car in wet weather. Is this true ?

I am exactly 5ft. Will the Leven extra reach pedals help ?

Thanks

P/S: are there any other women Cerbie drivers ?

Well according to the Cerbie FAQ on this esteemed website re. alloy pedals, 'Fears about feet slipping off them when wet are unfounded'. So in that case try them.

Just had the 3 Leven pedals fitted to our 500 - top marks to Mr. Leven - they feel great! Not slippery - and loads more feel.

Ed

Very glad you are having fun with it! Like the others on this thread I don't think you can adjust the loud pedal, not heard about any aftermarket pedals. Easiest solution might be growth hormones?

I think the "loud pedal" can be adjusted, depending on the option chosen.

Can someone please point me to the thread "alloy pedal", as I can't seem to locate it under 'Cerbera' or 'general TVR'.

Also, do Zertec do alloy pedals and if so, which do fellow Cerbie owners recommend ?

Leven definately do adjustable loud pedals but the standard TVR ones are not adjustable
