I have got some small puddles in the boot of my cerbie - in the far corners. The car was parked outside all weekend in the heavy rain. Is this easy to fix? I will clear the problem but just wanted to know if this is easy to find a perm fix for?

I just bought a 4.2 Cerbera last tuesday, and it had a similar problem, the previous owner had re-done the seal around the fuel filler spout and so say fixed it! Then with all the rain we've had it got wet again!
This may have affected the ignition box and so the car now starts intermittently! Webbs of bristol now have the car (only had it 2 days) and are investigating both the leak and the starting problems.

Mine is quite wet on the fuel filler pipe side and slightly wet on the other side. Seems very bizarre. But I assume it is a common problem that can easily be rectified.

So how are you going to clear the problem in the mean time?
just spoke to webbs and their going to shut an apprentice in the boot with a torch, and then hose the car down until the boy shouts out that he's getting wet and can see where the waters getting in!!

I thought the water in the boot was a common problem and assumed people out there would have some experience of sorting this?

Webbs Ground down the boot/lid to get a better fit, also re-sealed around the fuel filler. Will see if it has done the job in the next week or so...Better have, they charged me £160!

Sounds ok if you have water in boot - I have water under the carpet in the drivers footwell! Not puddles but very damp... I had this on my Griff but assumed this was a 'niggle' with Griffs. Now disppointed it's in the cerby aswell!

Anyone know how to sort this one?

Worth sorting out quite quickly. Mine had damp carpets for a couple of weeks, and I started to noticed a funny smell. Once I discovered the damp carpets I realised it was mould !
