Rev Counter playing up...

Driving home tonight I noticed no response from the rev counter, it just moves occasionally with some motion from the car.
Anybody had this before, or know where the connections are to check on an 98 Cerbera 4.5 ??

I've had exactly the same recently, normally when it is a cold day but then perks up a mile or so down the road. It did stop working all together when you put the lights on-it was a fuse so i'd start there!
Steve from Thames Valley Racetech had a quick look at the problem. Turned out to be some wiring that hadn't been put back right after a recent starter motor replacement from SHG.
