Servicing in Cambs area
Discussion
I have recently acquired a Californian Sage Cerbera 4.5 . I believe I have several options in terms of getting my car serviced in my area which include (1) TMS, (2) Castle TVR, (3) Offord Motors. The first 2 are part of the TVR dealer network, whereas the third is not but has been listed on the Cambs TVR website (and is the most local to where I live).
I have spoken to each of the garages and to some extent formed my own opinion. Initially, I will probably end up taking it to either TMS or Castle for the recommended services but use Offords for any interim work depending on the nature of it, and then review how I get on with each of them.
I haven't yet managed to get along to one of the local TVR club meetings so in the meantime I would be interested in hearing of any positive feedback which anyone might have had in dealing with these garages before I book my car in anywhere (next service not due until June but if I have problems before then ....).

Hello,
I have a Griff 500 and use Offord for everything. They are local (I'm in Cambridge) and go far beyond the call of duty to make sure the car is in good shape, even pandering to my Anal whitterings about strange noises coming from parts of the car. There are arguments that a dealer stamped car is worth more but I think you'll find on this and other lists that people would rather the car had been serviced properly than just by someone with a dealer stamp. That said I've heard good things about Kerridges and I do intend to pop into Castle to take a look one afternoon.
Anyway if you see a 'p' plate cosmos blue griff, lurking round cambridge give me a wave.

I have used Offord several times and found them excellent. However, if your Cerb needs anything more than a routine check up/service then I think you would be better off with a dealer as I'm not sure how much they have access to TVR software.
I use TMS and I am very happy with them. If I had a Rover V8 engined car it would be Offord every time, so speak to them and make sure Offord can do it first. If they can.. then take it there. Castle are more expensive than TMS.

Following the responses and a look at some of the other threads it looks like I'll be using TMS and Offords. Kerridges have a lot of good said about them but I think TMS are a little easier to get to from my neck of the woods (near St Ives, Cambs). Also I like the idea of the pickup and delivery service offered by TMS if the need arises.
Thanks for the feedback.
