See the 'jeremyc's Cerbera 4.5LW' thread for full details. The lightweight revision came in about Nov '99; it's not obvious, in fact the easiest way to spot it is through the lack of carbon fibre around the A pillars and rear screen: LW models have body coloured surrounds (see photo on my profile).

did the roofline changes happen on the 4.2 and s6 at the same time. are they the same other than the lights?
Don't think so - only the 4.5 was changed. From the TVR web site description of the Cerbera range:
"For the 2000 model year, lights, A pillars, roofline and seats were changed and lightweight bonnet, doors and bootlid were introduced on the Cerbera 4.5."
There again, I didn't even look at the Speed Six or 4.2 models

They were all done for the 1999 October motorshow, it was classed as the 2000 model. Some 1999 spec cars were still being delivered into 2000 so make sure before you drive 500 miles to see the car etc. Also there were a few Cerbera's that were half done at the factory.
All the Cerbera's were changed at the same time.

Better looking and has the later rear end light pods, which look better, if you ask me.
The seats are more supportive and feature the removable seat swabs when racing with a crash helmet.
Basically you sit lower and your arse hurts but at least your head is straight at 185 mph.
Not applicable if your a midget!
