Hey guys, for the last couple of days the warning light has been going on and off. But tonight my car just wouldn't start!!
Any ideas?? Could it be the alternator? If so anyone know the cost of a new unit or recon?

Billy.

It is the alternator fuse at the back of the engine bay. Take the air boxes off, take a very long reach socket and carefully (ie dont short anything) remove and replace the old, cracked, fuse. Then charge your battery and drive!

Is the fuse located at the back of the second ignition coil? Followed the cable from the altenator back to a small black box, is that it?

That's the one! You'll see a small strip of metal bolted to two contacts, it should have cracked. It might not be obvious until you unbolt it, hence the inconsistent flickering. You can get a spare fuse from any dealer, or order over the web from tvrgear. As an emergency, you can just bolt both cables straight together, but pretend I didn't say that!
