I see that there is a cerbera for sale with the best condition engine as per a dealers view.
How does one tell that an engine is in best condition?
I suppose the top end is seen when tappets are adjusted?
But I still dont understand!?!?!
Do dealers have x-ray specs?

Don't know for sure but I thought the dealer has to take the camshaft off to adjust the valves as the shims are under the buckets.

I know what you mean though, all dealers say your car is the best they have seen. However the fact that it didn't need new camshafts probably suggests the orignals arent worn. Can't imagine a dealer passing up the opportunity to charge you for a new set of camshafts

Might simply mean all the ones they had before were not worth anything ...?
