Nearly convinced
Discussion
I am so close to changing my griffith for a cerby, please convince me! Was very interested in the blue one at Adrian Blyths but that sold in a couple of days. I see that Fernhurst have a avus blue 4.2 for under £22k, anyone know about this car?
What are the average running costs for this car, probably only doing about 6k a year in it. How often does the tappet service take place, I assume that this is the expensive one.
Thanks

Just had a service on my 4.2 at Peninsula, 12000 mile + MOT + Tappet adjust.
Includes fettling the engine, oil, filter, spark plugs etc, Transmission and Diff oil replaced. Clutch and Brake fluid replaced. Some other bits and pieces.
Change from £800
Not too frightening. Had the Cerbera for 12 months now, it's cost me that plus a set of rear tyres, £195 for Toyo's and it has been reliable. I have dlet with a few electrical niggles myself. I guess if I couldn't do that I might have a different oppinion of the reliability.

Okay.....I'm crossing every finger and toe as I type, because, apart from a starter motor playing up and being replaced, our Cerb has been no trouble at all!!!.........
If you like open air driving, wind in the hair and all that.....you will certainly not get that in a Cerb.
In fact,IMO they can be quite claustraphobic, epecially those with dark interior, especially if it's a very hot day ..and the driver has made a HIDEOUS mistake ..and driven you into the centre of London.....where all the traffic is snarled up ...and you are sitting in the equivelant of a thoroughbred racehorse that is being made to stand still then move an inch every three seconds................
Aaahhhhh........okay...I feel better now........
what was I saying...........oh yes......
Best bet is to drive a few........then decide...
Edited cos I ctn't splel
