Thanks to everyone's input from my first (and only) post; along with everything I've read over the last 2 years worth of threads I've just picked myself up an absolute steal of a '99 4.2, and owe it mainly to you guys (and gals). I'm not quite sure how I'm going to make it through this next week till I pick it up, though!

There was a reason for it being cheap, however; it's an ex company-car (I want to work for *that* company). So, although it has a full service history and list of faults it's been in for, there aren't copies of all the receipts... I'm trying to figure out if it's had a sports exhaust put on it or not - it doesn't look 4 years old, and it pops and bangs beautifully. Can anyone tell me if the standard exhausts do this, or not?

Whilst I'm at it, a couple more questions...
1. Anyone know where I can get a proper manual for the car from?
2. Any Cerbera owners in the Leeds/Huddersfield area that fancy a quick drink/cruise once I've picked it up so I can crib notes? I'm feeling bad at just missing out on Le Mans & PistonFest!

Thanks again for all your help - owe most of you a good couple of pints, but not if you're out in the car! :P

Congratulations James.

Look forward to hearing more and seeing some shots.

I've not seen / heard a Cerbera without Sports pipes, so
I can't help you there.

Certainly mine's been popping and banging and turning heads all day!

Well done!! will be the longest week of your life but worth the wait!!

Sports exhausts - have a look underneath if it has two separate pipes then it's a sports, if it has a back box then they ain't!! Well that's the visible difference I noticed when I had mine changed.... the noise is a massive difference!!!!!

Mind you when I bought mine I was told it had a sports exhaust and was very happy, until I found out it wasn't - had to have one - what a difference

Standard exhausts on 4.2 and 4.5 Cerberas (don't know about SP6) pop and bang all the time. Oh yes
