Carbon Air Boxes

Noticed today looking at a 98 Cerb 4.5 that it had carbon fibre airboxes yet my 2001 has painted fibreglass ones. Have mine been changed before I bought it or do the later ones not have carbon airboxes?

The ones that look like carbon fibre are fake anyway.

Mine also look like carbon (98 4.5) although I have seen cars with shiny black ones fitted.

In the process of replacing mine as they seem to have started to collapse in on themselves where the purple pipes meet the air box.
If they where real carbon I doubt they would have done this!!

Anyone heard any more about the availability of real carbon replacement pipes????

The Cerbera in the Top Gear test racing agaist Lotus etc had carbon air intakes and pipes wonder how to get some of those?

I think the pipes were originally meant to be carbon but were ditched because of cracking (or more likely cost knowing TVR ). They replaced them with the purple thingies.
