Country run suggestions.
Discussion
Got the car, the weather (hopefully), the time (this Saturday) and good company, but where to go????
Want to make the most of the good weather we have be having (apparently will be good on Saturday, not so good on Sunday) to take the car for a nice run and stop of at some sights/country pubs on the way.
Live in central London and am willing to drive a few hundred miles, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated???

Take the A40 up to Oxford follow it through to Burford.
From Burford there is a road to Stow In The Wold (I forget the index) but it was quite simply created for TVR's, long sweeping bends, GREAT visibility and all round top fun.
From there head North towards Worcester then across country returning through Bicester/Aylesbury coming back to town via Thame under the M40 to the back roads through Nettlebed, Henley out the back of Maidenhead towards Windsor/Bagshot picking up the A30 then the A4 to go back into town.
Used to do this occasionaly when I lived in London, its a nice run.

I would suggest the same as above but hook a left at Burford and head along the B4425 to Cirencester, A429 down to Chippenham then A4 all the way to Reading. Some nice pubs for lunch around Cirencester and good Sunday lunch on offer in the Coach and Horses just outside Avebury on the A4, some nice shops if you need to take a break around Malborough.........Uuuummmm may even give it a thrash myself!
