Im considering getting this done as the interior of the cerb gets really hot, especially with black leather throughout. I Also think it may look quite good.

Has anyone had it done on a cerb and have any idea of cost etc. Pics would be good.

Someone has recommeded AutoTint in Gatwick if everyone knows anything about them.

Thanks in advance.

Gary Timms - Bachus180 (or whatever his PH handle is) lives in Surrey and he has had his black cerb windows tinted. Looks very drugs dealer !

Yep...the Police in Essex seem to think that too Gazzab.

They have been pulling over anything with a tint and measuring the depth of the tint........if you see what I mean.

Only thing I'd say is ...make sure it's legal!!!!!

I agree with this one, not solely because it's good to keep on the right side of the law, but more from the point that this law is indeed for safety.

I was recently in Phoenix, Arizona and drove my mates Jeep Grand Cherokee, which has seriously tinted windows - which are pretty much required in Arizona given the amount of sunshine they get. They too have laws on the amount of tint you can have, but they allow more tint than we do in the UK. Well, driving at night with that much tint was a total nightmare. I could hardly see a thing!

Imagine driving in this country in the middle of the night, whilst wearing your darkest sunglasses (you just wouldn't would you) - that was what it was like.

So the moral of this little story is that tint levels are set for safety, and you'd be mad to exceed them (IMHO).

- geez, where did that cyclist come from? I can't see a thing.

All good advice will look into it and ensure legal if done. I believe 70% light needs to pass through so will make sure thats the case

As I have no sunvisors, I tinted the front with the darkest possible shade - the max legally allowed (there are markers on the windscreen). Cost was £25 about 2 years ago.

Mine's got a medium tint on it and it does make a difference. One thing I noticed though is then when I was getting it cleaned someone has managed to scratch the tint...

Does make you feel like a dealer thought
