Just got back from LM, top weekend ! Who took theirs down!

I bottled out as Ive only had it a few months and hitched a lift with a friend in his Jag and spent all of the weekend wishing I had taken it.

Let me know if you went. On the way down on Thursday morning and during the weekend I good some good video of Cerbs driving down, around the town, around the circuit and and around Camping Le houx.

Will review to vid tonight and will note which cars, colours, plates I have on the vid and will let you know.

Ben Samuelson (TVR PR) reckoned on LeMans that there were 1200 TVRs which seems a lot.

Did anyome have any problems with their cars at it was really hot all weekend.?.

Hope you all had fun!.

Will definately be there next year

certainly did mate - '99 4.5, even though I've only owned it for 3 months.

Fantastic trip - "top darts score" maximum on the way down on Thursday, accompanied by cloud of black smoke as v-max approached, scaring the bejesus out of mates in cars behind (who thought the engine had let go!!).

Only a couple of minor gremlins - bonnet lock rods sheared (again - sure they are made of cheese), fixed with a thin screwdriver pinned down the middle of the tube, and the alternator protection 100amp fuse blew (probably post jet wash, bad idea). Thanks to Richard at Hexham HC who diagnosed it on the phone, and Andy at APM for packing me a spare!!

Major fun had by all our TVR contingent in Garage Vert on the Bugatti circuit - 2 out of three TVRs survived the nightly doughnut/burnout displays (scotty's Tuscan taking an early bath with a leaking clutch slave cylinder). Just need some new rear tyres now!!

Top weekend - although disappointed at my 4.5's inability to outdrag the T350 and Tuscan away from the peage - will sort that with a RR conversion in time for next year!

saw loads of other Cerbies either there or on the way - silver 4.2 and Rosso Pearl 4.2 right next to us in Garage Vert, countless others on the road too.....

cheers

Me

And

Were there, since Wednesday, along with the rest of the RatPac, excellent trip. No problems to report I personally did about 1000 miles all in. Although I don't think I'm as good at darts as you.

Cheers, Steve

Yep took mine down - 2.5 weeks old and no problems apart from frequent and loud complaints from back seat driver (who said they wernt practical?) oh and the o/s front shock failing!!!!

Apart from that bloody fantastic and to see our french cousins gobsmacked at the sheer outrageous beauty of the thing was a delight.

Roll on next year

We were there in the Cerb - did a huge trip to Le Mans via Mulhouse to see a few Bugattis (about 40!!). Overall trip was about 1700miles. Problems were in alphabetical order:
None.

A few driver problems though, nearly ran out of fuel, nearly hit a porker turbo at 130 (expected it to pull away with us being two up and full of luggage - it didnt!! Perhaps that speed is in kph. The porker was also two up, but didnt seem to have any luggage around, we were bursting with it) It eventually pulled over and gave us the thumbs up big time as we went past.

Nice to see the ratpac at Le Shuttle too. See Steve, told you I drove it when I could . Have to say though, your cerb had such volume to it we were amazed! Decat and sports exhaust I assume?? LOVELY!!!

Definately saw some of the Ratpac driving around and and a few Cerbs on the way down. Have some film of a light metallic blue and dark red/purple one coming past us. Not sure who but will check out plates.

Also saw a few cerbs with PH stickers on the back.

Best Tiv moments: Stopped in the services between Calais and Rouen to see:

Several Tivs coming past in convoy nose to tail at about 120!.

A Blue Tuscan R pulling in to fill up with not petrol but the full compliment of water pistols.

Seeing other (mainly german, dutch, danish) reactions to cerbs around Lemans and the town.

Burnouts on the main drag outside the main entrance with people putting water and petrol on the road.

Several T350c's still looking stunning although covered in dust in Camping le houx.

Lines of 20 plus Tiv in le houx.

Role on 2004!

There and back in the Speed6 with just a couple of problems - a vibration above 120 that kept the speed down and the bonnet coming open, again at 120.

Used a little oil but fair to say that it got to work hard on the overtakes so not unexpected.
