I have recently got a 4.0 Chim for the summer months and am thoroughly enjoying it. However, I'm hoping to get a Cerb when I get back from 6 months abroad next year, and just wondered if anyone knew what the power difference between my Chim and a 4.5 Cerb would be like?

Chimaera 4.0 is around 200bhp, Cerbera is around 350. There is a lot of difference, but it's a very different experience. You'll have to try one, and you'll hopefully be addicted or indifferent.

I'm definitely intending to get one, as I have drooled over them for years, just not sure if I'll be able to cope with it. Think I'll probably manage though

Easy to live with , power isnt a problem. They are easy to drive. different to a chim but no harder to drive.
running costs can be hard on the wallet though.
Cerb = super car drooled over by everyone.
Chim = a car admired by grandads.

I've heard the later cerbs are a lot smoother and have an easier power delivery, the early ones were a bit aggressive. A definite hooligan of a car whichever one you get.

Chim a grand dads car? a classic brit sports car with performance perhaps would be less likely to incur the wrath of our golfing buddies

Excellent, all sounds like I am making the right decision then. Roll on next May

I wonder if you will last that long?

Look at my screen name - that was the plan, now I'll have one by the end of the month if all goes to plan.

I went from 4.0 Chimp to early 4.2 Cerb.

The Chimp always felt fast compared to a "normal" car.

The Cerb is (imo) nicer to drive, a different league in power terms, and snaps knicker elastic where the Chimp has old man twisting there moustaches!

I do miss taking the roof down though, and would lov a removable roof for the Cerb

I'm sending myself to Moscow for 6 months to avoid the temptation.
