Slightly off topic but one of the guys I work with was rear ended in his Griff this morning on his way to work. He is Ok but there is rear end damage to the car.

Looks like he's lost both the rear lights, cracked the bumper and the rear valence, and pushed the back panel in and had the exhaust knowck off its brackets.

He has been quoyed 8-10 weeks and £10k to fix. Are these timescales and prices indicative of what an accident costs to fis on a TVR?

Without seeing it its difficult to know.

Much the same sort of question as 'How tall am I?'

For the damage you describe though £10K doesnt seem beyond the bounds of reasonability.

For that sort of damage, they cut the back off the car and replace it with a new section. 10k doesn't sound unreasonable.

You can get it done much cheaper BUT if you want a TVR approved bodyshop and parts from TVR then thats the price. A rip off.

If he was rear ended then presumably the other driver's insuranec is paying so who cares? Insist on TVR approved work.
