Hey people..first post. Was interested in a cerbera..dont really need to explain why!

Just interested to see if anyone out there has ever stuck a baby seat in the back? Hope thats a big yes or the whole thing will be a big "no"

If its a yes then can someone post a link to some for sale? Cheers

Yep, have done - the very early rear-facing seat doesn't fit in the rear (we have a M&P Primo Viaggio or something) but the forward facing, 9 months+ fits ok in the back. There's also a TVR seat which will probably fit better.

Yep, agree with what Futie said.

We bought a second-hand Cerbie child seat and it fits nicely - SBaby loves it! You can buy new Recaro seats from TVR for £350 + VAT if you're feeling rich, or else keep an eye on the ads on PH - the child seats seem to come up every so often.

Oh, and the mounting kit for the older-style TVR seat costs £55 + VAT, or thereabouts...

No problem fitting baby seats, as long as they're forward facing

We have a Britax Freeway that slots in well - and only about £80 from Halfords/Mothercare etc....

go for it!

cheers

Only problem I've had is trying to stop my 2 year old daughter waving at anyone that looks and saying 'More daddy noisy car' when in the wifes sprog mobile.

Like beemer I have a Britax Freeway for my 19 month old son, and my 4 year old son sits in the normal seat behind me (I'm driving of course! ). My wife has to sit fairly upright and fully forward, but it works absolutely fine....

I have to put up with great comments like "drive faster dad" and "isn't daddy's flash car fantastic" all the time. Such a chore

We use a Recaro Start, think it was about £140 from Halfords, good from about a year to about 3 or 4, after which they will fit best in the seat. Very smart looking & solid

I tried a few options and found the Britax Freeway the best. Its worth buying a seat belt ratchet from Halfords as well.

Watch your little ones fingers when the window goes up.

I wouldn't bother with the TVR seat which needs mods to the body to fit - we find that most forward facing seats fit as long as you can get a bit of tension on the belt. Having said that those which come in 2 pieces which allow you just to use the squab as a booster without the backrest are generally shorter and fit better (with or without the back rest) - adjusting the pedals forward and moving drivers seat forward gives more space.

But it does look nice... And it's only a small mounting kit you need.

Edited to add: Nope, I give up. Can't find a tongue-in-cheek smiley anywhere!!

When we looked around, we found that Britax Freeway was the best fit to go behind the passenger.

Our 4 year old sits behind the driver.

For those with 3-6 year olds, I am curious to know what accessories are used to secure the child to the seat. We use a blue triangular restraint, but still find that the diagonal part of the belt moves close to the child's neck especially on longer journeys.

I use a padded strap (from Mothercare) for my 4 year old and it works fine. The problem is he gets so excited when we're out in the Cerb that he won't sit still anyway!!

(And he reckons he's having the Cerb when he's 17 and I'll have to get a new one!! - he's just 4 ffs! )

I use the same blue triangular restraint. Having a cushion underneath the child helps to keep the belt at about the right position while they are still at the younger end of 3-6 years (depending on the height of the child).
