Not yet having the car, how many here have a single garage to house their Cerbera?

Is it a tight fit or problem to get in and out of with the doors?

Just thinking ahead as I'm moving to a house with just a single garage.

Cheers

IIRC a Cerbie is only about 13cm longer than a Focus!

It depends on the age on the house, I think the newer the house the bigger the garage, could be wrong.
I haven't got a garage but tried parking it in my parents one (1930's house) and it would fit length ways perfectly but a pain in the backside trying to get out the doors. Also would of had to put something on the walls to ensure I didn't take the paint off one side of the car!

Depends on the size of the garage. Lengthwise ours just fits into one garage but there's more than a foot of space in one of the others. But the length of the doors on the Cerbie is a problem - you need to put carpet or something on the wall to avoid catching the door. And don't forget to make the passenger get out before putting the car away.

You're lucky I have to ask passengers to get out of car before I even get into my street due to a speed hump in the road!!! Hmm have never tried to get the car into the garage, its to full of Beer, doq & cat food bikes, coats, freezer, dryer and 101 other useless things that don't have a home somewhere else.

Edited because I'm an idiot.

Goodness, you have a lot of stuff in your car, how do you even drive it and no wonder it bottoms on speed humps!?!

Seriously, will I have a problem with the speed humps if I move into the next road?

Cheers, oh and email on it's way to you my friend..

G

you should be OK. For some reason the little cul de sac I live in is the only one with a speed hump , plus the roads on the estate haven't yet been finished properly, they have yet to be tarmaced so this should help on the approach to the hump. One problem mate is Dav is full of speed humps around the town centre, some used to be used bloody awful, but a few have been sorted out but I don't know how much better they are.
Its surprising how much you can get in the boot and on the back seats of a cerb.
I got the e-mail, response is on the way. You should get you brother on the forum, or does he post already??

Play on words, we ran an enduro pro and thunder kart team and he also is a big Nascar fan.
(For some reason, he follows 'poster boy' Geoff Gordon, 24! )

He does like South Park, but the above were the reasons I think?

You all need to learn from DannyLT - IIRC he got out of his car to put it into the garage and pushed it in/ pulled it out or something daft like that .

You're all missing the point here. Is not the size of your garage that matters, its the height of the ramp you have.

Fortunately the cerbera doors don't open that wide. You'll know when you here the cracking sound. But Honeslt you want to hide it in a garage ???.

I think this might just answer your question. Garage is a 'standard' size (if there is such a thing) the door is 7ft wide. As you can see, loads of room to open those wide doors.

Thanks for the photos Mike, looks like I will be safe.

Vee Eight, I'll certainly want to keep it on view when
I have it, but the birds / cats also tend to like my
cars and also after a spate of sports car thefts locally,
I'd rather open the door and see a gleaming Cerbera
rather than a dirty one or god forbid, an empty
space!

All of a sudden I feel like the only person without a garage, and who has to get the bucket and mop out every weekend. I'm a 100 yards from the sea too, the seagulls love the colour, and all that salt keeps me busy. If I could bear the embarrassment I would consider one of those tarpaulin things....No actually I wouldn't. Good luck with your garage, Looks Like I may have to move house just to avoid the elements.

If the garage is too small just knock it down and build one that isn't.

Sorted.
