Booked myself and my 2000, Cerbera 4.5 LW a little treat of the Ride-Drive Advanced TVR Handling Experience (8 hour session, combined road and track).

Anyone done this?

Anything I should specifically prepare or check on the car beforehand?

Anything worth sharing as I may give this a go when I get the car?

What you need to understand is that Ride Drive courses are based on advanced Police Techniques and are not aimed at those who want to better their track time records. The instructors are not racing drivers but understand the concepts of the way racing drivers use the car and track. The instructor will introduce you to a system which will if adhered to, keep you safe and improve your enjoyment. You will also learn many other tips and hints which will help.

Ride Drive courses are not designed to make you into a racing ace. If that is what you require, then it is the wrong course for you!

Some of the courses offered will give you a certain time on a track to explore the full capabilities of yourself and your car. The facilities they use are not a circuit such as 'Silverstone' etc, but are adequate for the purposes which for which they have been acquired by Ride Drive. If anyone wants more information, then mail me offline or contact Julian at Ride Drive who will no doubt furnish you with all the information you require.

I know there are quite a few people from the PH community that have done 'Ride Drive' courses and a search through the PH search engine should give you other peoples views of what they thought about the courses as there are numerous threads on Ride Drive.

Unfortunately I had to cancel my 2 days with Ride Drive this week due a broken exhaust...but will be rescheduling and can let people know what they are like (although think the client feedback on their website says it all).

For track days...go to a fully kited out circuit, for improving driving technical on the roads Ride Drive seem to be the best qualified.
