Hello all,
Apologies for posting this again - I put it in the wrong forum to start with.
My boot stinks of optimax and I am getting less mpg. It doesn't take a genius to deduce that my fuel tank has sprung a leak.
I had a similar issue with my Land Rover a few years back and I had to get it pressure tested - which for some reason cost me mucho wonga.
Has anyone removed their fuel tank and tested it themselves? Is it easy to get it out and can I repair it myself or should I just let Offord sort it and take the bill on the chin?
Any advice from someone with a similar experience would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tony

Check the 'banjo' connection on the tank feed at the bottom left hand corner of the tank. If you run your hand around that area you will feel if it is damp. The other point to check is the fuel tank sender unit which is on the top of the tank, make sure the seal is ok on this. Any doubts or queries get the car to your dealer.
