Did my first trackday with the TMS guys at bruntingthorpe a month ago, and one problem I found was I kept getting the feeling I was due to fall out the window as I wasn't being held in the seat very well. Everything else was great (apart from the forthcoming engine rebuild).
Hopefully a three of four point harness should cure this and I'm keen to get one fitted.
The question is, has anybody done this on a cerb and where do people reccomend the mounting points to go, and what is the best harness for a simple novice (no 6 point race things please)?

I fitted a Willans 3 point harness using the existing upper rear seatbelt mount and the front seatbelt sill / tunnel mounts. Just replace the standard bolts with extended eye bolts, it takes minutes to do.

How did you find the harness?

Problem is I rather wanted to keep the original belt in place. I can't be bothered with all the harness hassle all the time. So I wanted something I could fit easily (after some eye bolt mounting work) and then take out to return the car to standard. Could I keep the original belts in place but then secure them with eye bolts rather than the originals? Then use the eye bolts for a quick release harness?

edited as I don't pay attention to what i'm writing.

You can keep both. When I bought my cerbie it had luke 4 point harnesses fitted .Suggest you speak to Brian at Fernhurst as he/they did the work.

I've fitted a 4-point Luke harness to my Cerbera. I ordered it from DT along with extra long eye-bolts. This enabled the exiting lap belt to remain in place.

Dannyit had both normal seatbelt and harness fitted, might be worth mailing him via his profile to see where he had them fitted etc..

I have normal and harness fitted. The lower mounts are shared the seatbelt, the upper uses the rear mounting points on the parcel shelf. Work was done by Brian at Furnhurst.
