I just had mine reconditioned.....this is better than buying a new one from TVR which are actually in short supply. Also new cost £300 and reconditioned costs £150 plus about 1/2 hour labour

For the starter call Tim at Curds in Tunbridge Wells. He supplied a OE one to me for £125 or thereabouts, 01892 525398. He is about 20 minutes from M25 should be reasonable for travel

From earlier PH thread here.

Mine's being replaced by Joolz on Tuesday! It's just about given up the ghost - lots of knashing for about 60 seconds before it eventually engages.

My advise is to call immediately. The manufacturer has run out of these, and it is 5 week delivery.

I know Curds have some recons coming in, but they actually cost him more than new!!!!

If you want to find out supply before Tuesday email me and i'll walk over the road!

Happy hunting

sorry guys .. i got the last one from Curds for Futie .. he hasn't got any more so he tells me.
you can have this one for 800 pounds though and I'll fob Futie off with some lame excuse from the south of France

I don't know where you are but I got my starter reconditioned for £128 inc. VAT through Autobits in Farnham (01252 714993).

Make sure that your imobiliser is ok before replacement as mine was shot only to find out after new starter was fitted!!!!!!!!
Sometimes you pushed the starter switch but nothing happened, and other times it worked.
however Dream Machines did it all free of charge
