i'm keen to continue to use my current garage if i buy a cerbie (as they are very good), however whilst they are excellent mechanics they seem to do little work with electronics.

What is involved in servicing a cerbie electronically e.g. diagnostics, throttle pots etc. and what is required in terms of kit in order to do this?

You need the MBE diagnostic software, a computer (ideally laptop) and RS232 cable. Just as importantly, you need to know how to use it properly to set up the car.

I take it that you current garage dont know TVRs own engines. Personally I wouldnt go down that route.

Yes they are very much so.
Personally I wouldnt buy a Cerb unless it had been looked after by a well respected Indie or a TVR dealer. You really need to know the engines.
