Has anyone ever posted wheels with tyres before? If so, how much is it (I know it depends on distance, etc.) and did you get whoever to come round and pick them up from you? Did you have to "pack" them or anything?

When i had my wheels changed to 17" on my old chim a year ago at DemonTweeks in Wrexham, i had the two 16" rears posted to me in south Wales for a total £12.

Demontweeks arranged the packing and postage.

Fcuked my letterbox up though.

When Micheldever send out tyres, they just strap then together in pairs & stick them in a BIG plastic bag, with an address on them.

No idea what postage is, but they charge £6 (or is it £9?) per pair.....

Edited to say, thats probably not much help - sorry !

I ask because there are two people selling the 4.5 Cerbie wheels, the 17"s, which I would like for my 4.2, but they're both in Newcastle which is really a bit too far for me ... (am I being a wooss?)
