I had my heart set on a Tuscan S for March/April next year but after reading about the sports exhausts and seeing the Cerbera cockpit it looks pretty tempting...

Anyone driven both or just the standard models who can compare?

Yes I want flames from my exhaust too!

The decision is one of the heart not of the mind. The cars are very different and personally I think they appeal to different characters. Try them both and I think you'll find out whether you're a Tuscan person or a Cerbera person.

Like Ted says they are different animals..... Cerbera is difficult and petulant, Tuscan is easy to drive but fantastic lines....horses for courses....they are very differnt!

I had 2 Cerbera's, 4.2 and 4.5, then a Tuscan Red Rose, admitedly an early one. It was pretty awful, although very quick. It lasted 3 months before I went back to a new 4.5 LW ( with the Red Rose engine ) and close ratio gearbox.

It was definitely "right" for me.

Try them both, you will still have issues with the Cerbera even though it is now well developed, but probably more trouble-free than a Tuscan.

Similar story like Martin.

Have had 2 Cerbies, then bought an early Tuscan and after 3 months I decided to buy a Cerbie again

Got a RR Cerbie and its the fastest car I've ever driven.

Both cars a very different.

The RR Cerbie feels like a racecar with a charismatic engine, but you could also use it everyday.

I also think try them both, but for me the RR cerbie rules by miles.

All IMHO.

Little story: As I picked up my car from the factory this year, some guys from the Cerbera productionline told me, that they've ever known "I AM A CERBERA MAN".

Come on, be a man and become a Cerbera man

I drove both (Standard Tuscan and 4.5 Cerbie) and eventually went for the Tuscan S. It was a difficult decision but the more modern looks sold it for me.... Both great cars on a different level to most other vehicles......

Same here no complaints about the Tuscan choice. One thing I must warn if you go for the cerbera pray you don't get in a trafic jam cos if you aint built like arny you aint ganna last long. Also the sun visors pisd me off in the 1/2 hr test drive. They flapped around more than a Porsche Drive.
Dont worry about the other seats, you can only use the Cerbs seats if you have legless mate, literally.

Appreciate your views on this one. I have driven the Tuscan S but not a Cerbie.

I loved the Tuscan but would like the 'practicality' of two extra seats and love V8's (although the Tuscan sounds great too...

I guess I'll have to drive a Cerbie too but it'll have to be a 4.5RR!!

Spider wheels or Racelines??

What do you mean? I've been stuck in traffic jams in 4.5 cerbs many a time, no problems, if you have airco. Keep an eye on the temperature (although mine never overheated) and you're fine. As for sun visors, you're right there, that's why TVR in their infinite wisdom took them out of the LW/RR...
Legless mates - well not only them, my 3 & 6 year old fit in the back perfectly, and on occasion 6 foot+ people have managed to fold themselves up behind the passenger seat!

You can't get Racelines, you don't get sunvisors. You don't need to be Arnie in the traffic. You will however probably need a few new starter motors...
