TVR charge £35.25 IIRC for a check on your car. Can't remember what it includes, but mine should be faxed over to me today and then I can let you know...

What does the factory check tell you? Would it say if an early 4.2 had the upgrades (door seals, cams etc.)?

It will only tell what the TVR dealer has told them. Won't therefore include anything done by an independent [AFAIK], and may not include the smaller stuff like door seals, but should include the major items like cams, and most definitely all work done by the factory, like a returned/rebuilt/updated engine. Remember main dealers aren't really allowed to much work at all on the AJP units, and most work was done by returnbing the engines to the factory, so engine-wise the factory check should be fairly complete.
