I've got an issue where as soon as I turn the ignition on the sidelights come-on and stay on. When I disconnect the dim/dip box and turn on the igition they don't come on but still work of the switch so I assumed the black box in the boot was fautly. I've just tried a new dim/dip unit from tvrcarparts but it's the same so the box cannot be at fault. The light switch works perfectly as does the dim/dip function. I've also tried to reseat the steering wheel control box under the dash but with no joy. It's not a real problem just a bit of a pain and will be putting extra strain on the batter/starter. Has anyone else come across this? Or any ideas how to fix? thanks.

there are actually 3 boxes that control the lights. one of the other two could be at fault or potentially the main switch on the dash.

could be the lights switching unit in the boot not the dim/dip unit sounds like there maybe a short in that box which switches the lights on when ign is activated is it possible to swap someones just to check, have you got a local cerbie owner close to where you live?

I'd try disconnecting the light control boxes first, leave them disconnected for a minute or so then reconnect, just in case a relay driver has become latched up.

It happens sometimes.

thanks for the info, i'll try disconnecting the light control box tonight. I'm new to this cerbera business so not sure if anyone else is local.

This is a very old topic I know, but wondering if you ever solved this issue?

I am experiencing the same issue with my Cerbera, along with full beam not staying on and no fog lights.

Bump.

I have the same issue, but in mine it follows with a buzzing noise form the Lighting Control unit.
