Questions about buying a cerbera
Discussion
Hi,
I am interested in buying a cerberra, but I ony have 15K and want to know which model I can afford and which models to avoid! Also if I had a bit more cash would there be any more desirable models to purchase?
Is there any truth to the rumour that if an engine rebuild is required, it has to go to a main dealer/blackpool?
Mark

for 15k i'd be VERY careful.
A cerbera that cheap is fairly likely to be barking and in need of a collar.
if you can find 18-19k, you might be in business.
kcuffing mega cars, but IMO if you can't afford two of them, you can't afford one.
Just my opinion - but with that much money and a hankering for a TVR i'd get a griff!

Ones to avoid at 15k? All of 'em!
If you are looking in this price bracket, pay for a proper inspection (not AA/Rac), even take it to two dealers/experts for a look.
I've noticed that a few of the 15K cars seem to be on HPI, (hence the price). I thnk you would have a job selling it on again. Be Careful!
I went through the same buying process last august (search the threads) & ended up spending £20k for a nice one with a proper history/upgrades/bills & warranty, in the hope that when it comes time to sell I'll lose a little rather than a lot.
Darren.

Ok, I disagree totally.
Last year i needed to sell both a Cerb and a Chimp ina hurry. This wasnt a reflection on the cars, but my financial state.
I was willing to accept 10k for the Chimp and 16 for the Cerb. Ended up keeping the Cerb, and taking 9 for the Chimp (95N Paris Blue full leather fTVRh PAS)
Somewhere out there is someone who needs money more that the car. All you need to do is find them before the dealer does.
