It says all Cerbies(dont know if that is ALL cerbies or just a date range, mine is a 99 4.5) have a potential problem where the front suspension upright can fail. - Recall requests immediate return to nearest dealer for checking. - can fax you letter if you like.

I had the letter about a month ago and had the work done this weekend. From what I can tell the dealers have a lot more cars than uprights. TVR are sending out rectification kits but I know my dealer was doing them on an age basis (oldest first) don't know if any early 4.2 owners can fill in any further details. Mines a late 97 4.5.

saw the letter, mines a 4.5 T reg cerb, had brand new tyres put on 2 months ago geometry set up then did 1000 miles and the inner edges are torn to shreds. steering jumps around like crazy! over bumpy roads..

Think yours will be recalled. Queried my dealer about a month ago and they said that they were looking at the older models first. Think they also said Cerbies up to 1999 are included.

Anyone with a 2000 or after is unlikely to have a problem

I have an 96 4.2 and my dealer has informed me that the problem does not exsist on the very early cars.
