Help!!!

My Speedodometer has stopped working. My odometer has also frozen.

Whats could be the problem??? Am hoping to take it to TMS after the easter holiday. Is it likely to be an expensive/lengthy problem to sort out.

Since both odometer and speedo have gone I reckon it's your speed sensor thats gone. It's located towards the back of the diff. It's just a hall effect sensor so not expensive to fix. It may even be just a dodgy connection as the sensor is a bit exposed.

Mine went earlier this year.

If its the speed transducer (sensor) then it costs 50 quid from TVR and is straightforward to fit. Jack the car up at the back, pop it on axle stands, undo one electrical connector and it screws off. You'll need a few cable ties, an adjustable spanner and some patience.

TVR say the clearance from the transducer to the cog on the diff should be 1mm. Basically put it as close as possible without it catching but not more than 1mm.

Phil.

My Chim is going in to Castles in a couple of weeks time for the same thing.

£42+ VAT for the Sensor and £52+VAT for Labour.
