Suspension, gear box and pants upgrades
Discussion
Had a ride in Gary T's (Bachus80?) cerbera at the weekend. He has the straight cut gear box and redline suspension. What a difference that makes to the car. The acceleration blew my mind, the gearing and speed of change makes an enormous difference.
The suspension makes a huge difference to the cornering speeds. MUST get mine upgraded now!!!
Also need my pants upgraded after the ride.

Chancer,
I've got Avos (from another source) and springs from Joolz. The Avos do indeed provide adjustable damping at a budget. My only criticism would be that the ride quality over small bumps isn't that good. I don't know whether the technical term is nose force, stiction or whatever, but I imagine that Nitrons might be better in this respect. You get what you pay for I suppose.
Joolz was (at one point) talking about the possibility of Nitron coming up with an evolution model whereby remote adjustment would be possible (i.e. not grovelling around on the floor with your arm up the wheelarch.) Don't know what came of this idea though

i think if you upgrade your suspension with whatever you will find it is a comprimise, stiffer means greater high speed control and stabillity... but you will always suffer on smaller rougher road surfaces, softer.. means the reverse.. comfy small bumps and like a boat round the bends!... can't have it all, I used to have mine so hard that if i hit a small divot in the road the car would jump.. now its a little bit more unwound it really works well, not skittish and as long as u set yourself up correctly for the corner it goes around like its on rails!

So what settings are you running now?
Cheers, Steve
