I have read a lot of discussion about sports exhausts improving the sound of a Cerbera, but does this just mean louder and with popping and banging on the overrun, or is the sound quality improved when accelerating?

Well based on what I heard with futie's car then it definately improves the sound when accelerating!

I put a sports exhaust on mine last summer, i can recommend it, i would say it improves the sound on all fronts, also i would recommend Penninsular for the pipes, not too expensive as i recall

I also have the Peninsula sports pipes fitted and they really make the car sound awesome. Good price also.

I recently upgraded the exhaust sound on my Griffith 500 and, rather than replace a perfectly good exhaust system, I gave it to Julian Lane at Joospeed in Chesterfield, who simply took all the sound proofing out of the middle boxes and welded them back up - result... deeper, louder and fantastic on overrun - all for around £100! Don't know about acceleration though as I can't hear properly from the driving seat!

Before I heard them, Sports pipes were way down on my list of upgrades. But now I've got them I can't stop smiling!

Similar story - thought the sports pipes were TOO noisy when I first got the car - nothern puff and all that.

6 months later I think I may have to go de-catted - now I know how people can get used to living under the flight path at Heathrow! Funny how you get used to things......

Bought our Cerbie with sports exhaust already fitted, sounds awesome, pops well too. Makes the TVR grin even bigger
