Typical... only get round to posting them after I've sold the car! From "A note to the factory" thread. Upshot - well worth getting on a new car for 2k!

I'm sure someone must have a Rover one to compare.

The first one is pre Red Rose conversion, with 350bhp and 300lbft, this is typical for the best standard 4.5's. Has over 200bhp by 4500rpm, and has 200lbft by 2000, rising rapidly to about 4000rpm. Torque is held up all through the rev range.

The second is the first run after the Red Rose mods, was aborted early due rapid engine temp increase - but peak torque has lifted to 340lbft at the same place - 5000rpm. Over 4500rpm the head mods and higher compression really show - the whole torque curve is lifted by about 30 to 40lbft. Now has over 250lbft by 2000rpm.

The last one just captures the tail end of the rev range to get peak power - 400bhp at 7200rpm!

No regrets so far! The BMW handles nicely thank you very much Andrew (Passat driver), but my new Radical is waiting all build at the factory waiting for the SVA! 500kg, 250bhp, downforce!

My Passat'll 'ave your BMW diesel any time. I've been told if I turn the climate control off and open the windows that I get another 10bhp. Come to think of it, it'll outcorner your Radical wotsit too

Unfortunately the drag created by opening the windows will cost around 17BHP at 60MPH. The aircon thing is an antique myth....

Danny,

I cant imagine your not having regrets on selling the cerbera. I've only had the car for ??what 2 weeks, but I cant imagine driving anything else.

This car definately looks and sounds better than anything else on the road (including some other cerbera's I've seen - thanks to the Nitron adjustable suspension). Have changed the suspension from "hard" to "soft", but kept the height them same.

Glad your happy with the BMW diesel, the wife, the 2.4 kids, the pipe, the slippers.......

Raj, I'm so glad you're enjoying the car! No kids, no wife, no slippers, but getting increasingly desperate waiting for the Radical and all the upcoming trackdays!

Said Daniel, as he drew back on his pipe, muttering to himself "those were the days..."

You should see him now, all his hair's fallen out. Those lovely blue locks all gone, makes me weep
